YOUNG FARMERS DAY September 18, 2026
The 158th Cowichan Exhibition takes place September 18, 19 & 20, with this year’s theme of “Proudly Canadian”, celebrating the vibrant spirit of our nation – where community, culture and agriculture come together!
You and your students are warmly invited to join us at the 2026 fair as our guests on Friday, September 18th, from 9 am to 2 pm. Young Farmers Day is designed to inspire the next generation and provides an educational, fun and engaging way to learn about agriculture:
- Get a first-hand look at how chickens are raised at the Poultry in Motion Mini Barn
- Take part in the interactive Kids Corral with Yukon Dan gold panning
- See the Dairy Goats and other animals on display
- Learn about the life of bees in the Cowichan Beekeepers Bee Mobile
- Find out about the captivating world of birds of prey at the Raptors demonstration
- Travel back in time while checking out the vintage farm equipment presented by the Duncan and District Vintage Machinery Society
- Take a stroll through Mellor Hall to see LEGO, photography, fine arts, hobbies and crafts, and so many more exhibits!
